You’ll play a key role in producing high quality digital solutions to real world problems for clients, helping them to improve the user experience of their products and services. You’ll lead user research projects and use UX design processes to help deliver high quality outputs and real value for our fantastic clients.

We are Torchbox, a progressive digital agency on a mission to help nonprofits create and market transformative digital products and services. We’re proud to be the creators of Wagtail, one of the leading open source CMSs, used by Google, NASA, the NHS and thousands of other organisations around the world.

This is a great time to join Torchbox. Business is booming in the UK and US, Wagtail is flying high and we’re doing great work with many, incredible, mission-driven organisations.

We’re also the UKs first digital agency to be a 100% Employee-Owned Trust. And, we’re at a pivotal moment, 12 months from paying off our ex-shareholders and grasping the opportunity to become the extraordinary company and place to work that this freedom will give us. And, you can be involved in shaping this.

We’re looking for a UX Consultant to join our team.

You’ll play a key role in producing high quality digital solutions to real world problems for clients, helping them to improve the user experience of their products and services.  You’ll lead user research projects and use UX design processes to help deliver high quality outputs and real value for our fantastic clients.

You’ll have a deep understanding of UX design and research practices and some understanding of associated disciplines such as service design and content design. You’ll use your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to help shape our UX team’s direction, and deepen our wider team’s understanding and practice of research and design methodologies.  You’re likely to line-manage or mentor more junior UX practitioners.

You will be joining a UX Design team where you will have the opportunity to make a big impact. We are looking for individuals with initiative that will help drive our UX expertise both on projects, within the team and externally with our marketing team. One day you might be working on shaping a programme of work for our next exciting project, another you’ll be conducting user interviews and user testing, and helping translate user needs into valuable design challenges and opportunities.
